Hi

I have decided to go with a hard-tail instead of full-suspension. It has to have good fork with lock-out, great disc brakes and XT gear-equipment. Narrowed down to these 2 candidates, both at 1299 €:

Grand Canyon Comp (1299 €):

or

Radon ZR Evo I (1299 €)

They cost the same, so which bike do you think is best value for money?!
I have already had ONE Radon bike, and i was VERY satisfied, great bikes. How is Canyon bikes?

Thank you very much for feedback!

Hi Andrew

The Radon could be the better match, it's got the XT Crankset. The Canyon is beautiful in black, but is only fitted with old LX Crankset (which isn't that bad). Weight of the Canyon seems too be better, but don't give too much on the weights indicated on the websites.

Hi Andrew
i think the most important point here is the delivery time. i do not know how fast bike-discount is, but first you should call canyon and ask them how long you must wait for the Grand Canyon Comp.

Thanks for that info:
Asked them: Canyon cannot deliver the bike until NEXT YEAR, so i'll go for the Radon then :-)

holy shit, next year??

thats bad but solves the problem ;)

Yeah, and the Radon ZR Evo I isn't that bad either.
I liked the remote lock-out and the design/color of the Canyon, but the Radon has better components all-together, and i can easily live with the design.

So it'll be the Radon...

Sincerely
Anders
