GT Zaskar 1999 Frame decals (English please)

Hi everyone. First off I would like to ask if it's ok to use english as my german is not so good...?

So here is the deal: I have a GT Zaskar LE 1999 year frame (just like this one: http://si6.mtb-news.de/fotos/data/540/GT_Zaskar_LE_Team_2_.JPG). It is in rough shape so I would like to restore it. Repaint it and obviusly replace the decals (I would like to keep it completly original, otherwise I'll leave it like it sits).

Did someone else ever tried that? Is it possible to get the decals?

try it at ebay.com. Search the user felnzo. I mean, that he has the decals in stock. He sells many orginal decals for GT-bikes

You might have to be patient and also might want to contact felnzo to list these specific decals for you.
Alternatively the user gil at retrobike.co.uk could also be a source for these decals.

What pain removing method do you recomend? Sandblasting or removing the paint with paint remover? Then it's of to the paintshop for a coat of nice white and after the decals the clear coat?
