Found a older pic of my ML8 during a "how to fix your bike" workshop:

Oh, and I redid the ugly placed battery pack. I swapped it with my 6-cell Kaidomain pack from my Singletrack and put the pack on the seatstays, near the rear shock weld point.

Suffice to say, I can tell everyone who asks "what's that thing on the back for" that my bike has a engine for Super Pursuit Mode!

diese woche ist ein ML8 eingetroffen, natürlich mit "upgrade-kit",
so auf die schnelle ist das mit einem palomino nicht kompatibel,
maverick nutzt metrische maße und das palomino die zöllischen.
hat schonmal jemand einen umbau gemacht?
vielleicht kann ich mir arbeit ersparen.

und noch eine frage,

hat jemand den "KLEIN Palomino" Schriftzug als Datei?

Upgrade kit? I'm 95% sure ML8's always had the Aluminium Monolink.

Intresting, the DeKlein kit has 12.7mm bolts, and the Durance/ML8 link 12mm..

Can't you use smaller inner diameter bearings, if that's a thing?

Hi,
da ich das KLEIN-Palomino Upgrade-Kit nicht mehr bekommen habe, nutze ich das Maverick Monolink und habe mir die passenden Bolzen und Bushings anfertigen lassen. Funktioniert einwandfrei.

Sent my shock to Alpa and waiting it to come back.. because of work he doesn't have much time to work on the shock sadly enough.

Got it back last week and loving the rebuild shock so far!

I would have posted a pic but i'm currently reinstalling a computer so I can't.

That weld-on brake mount makes me cringe every time I see it, why'd you don't buy a scrap Fuel rear end and get the adapter from that instead?

You gotta keep in mind though, that Alu needs post-welding heat treatment and/or artificial aging otherwise it will crack.

I don't have a HammerSchmidt or a need for a chain guide, but it's certainly a nice made adapter!

hat sich nach ein paar mal schalten dann auch mitgedreht.

passt und funktioniert auch

ach ja, musste dazu die innenlagerbreite auf 68 mm runterfräsen

That is awesome, and yet so simple really: a 3mm thick Alu plate with a mounting arm for the front deraillieur mount!
