Original-Info [engl.]

(Jackson Hole, Wyo.) – Production companies Teton Gravity Research (TGR) and Anthill Films officially announce unReal, the feature-length mountain bike film being produced for a summer 2015 release, with the release of a sneak peek into the early production.

The film is being created as a joint production between TGR and Anthill. Together, the unprecedented creative union brings the best production technology to a project fueled by the imaginations of some of the best mountain bikers in the world.

There’s a place with no laundry. No commutes or speeding tickets. No Q4 projections given by people wearing pleats. No stepping in dog shit. And no burnt coffee. When the wheels are turning, you’re transported into a place beyond the real world. Join Teton Gravity Research and Anthill Films for a quick glimpse into the unReal. A place where mountain bikers shred glaciers, 1,000-pound mammals are riding partners, and anything is possible.

“Our goal with unReal is to do a few things that haven’t been done before through exploration of the minds of the film’s athletes, and ultimately inspire people to escape from reality by going outside and riding their bike,” says Darcy Wittenburg of Anthill Films.

“This collaboration with Anthill is an opportunity for us to bring our collective experience to a project that enables each of us to accomplish things, creatively and athletically, which we wouldn’t be able to on our own,” adds Steve Jones, TGR co-founder.

„It’s so exciting to finally be shooting this film,” says featured athlete Cam McCaul. “The concept was born over a year ago and it’s been really hard to keep it a secret. With the ambitious nature of this concept, it feels awesome to now have a couple huge shoots under our belts. From the looks of things so far, we’re gonna be able to live up to the title! Can’t wait to show the world what we’ve been up to next June.”

unReal is co-produced by Teton Gravity Research and Anthill Films. Written, directed and edited by Anthill Films. Presented by Sony in association with Shimano and Trek. Additional support for the film is provided by the Whistler Mountain Bike Park and PinkBike.com.
