I’ve actually had them built up for a few months now, got a couple of months riding in on them before breaking my collarbone. They are a PROPER pain to lace (took an EWS mechanic 2 full days), but once built they work well, the wheels spin up much quicker, as you’d expect taking half a pound off already light wheels, and techy climbs seem that bit easier. Obvs the vibration damping isn’t the same as what it would be on a road or gravel wheel, what with suspension and massive tyres but there’s definitely something there.
oh yeah, you need to lace them, bring them to tension, wait 24 hours, retention, wait another 24 hrs then tension again. Not hard, just needs time to settle.
