Thx!!! Yes, above 2000m still lots of snow. Sometimes a had to walk at <2km/h because very difficult because of the snow and the slopes. So no time to buy food or water -> hungry and drinking water from mountain streams. Nice you like the videos! In 2019 I think I will also plan another...

Thank you, Monsterwade! I carried a DJI MAVIC PRO with 2 spare batteries in my backpack. Pros: it's small, not too heavy, good image quality, many intelligent flight modes Cons: remote control has no screen (needs smartphone), takes time to deploy, loses connection sometimes Not yet any plans...

In June 2018 I did cross the Alps on a superlight carbon mountain bike, with only one saddle bag and a backpack. 10 days, 1000km, 27.000m elevation gain. This is the movie. I hope you like it!

I started with 2 Coast to Coast over the Pyrenees (2011 and 2012) Then a very heavy trip in the Cantabrian Mountains, Picos de Europa in Northern Spain (2013) Then a TransAlp from Munchen to Riva del Garda (2014) And in 2015 this Trans Spain... Experience is a good partner for this kind of trips..!!

Only hotels en B&B for me. A tent is too heavy, and after 12hours of biking I need a good shower, a nice meal, and a good bed! :-D

Spain is indeed so much more than the costas! I downloaded hundredths of gpx-files and combined them to a track that looked interesting to me. In south Spain: 90% is gravel, in North Spain 75%. The rest is paved road and a few trails, except some very steep downhill tracks The gpx can be found...
