Neue Kavenz V7 Rahmenplattform: Alles möglich – von Trail und Enduro bis DH

I ride the VHP16 29 for park, and trail, just switch the wheelset. This summer I might end up in the alps for a few weeks and thinking about VHP18, if so I'll get a 190 air shaft for my Zeb. I don't want to be without a rear shock so got a spare air shock which I haven't ridden much at all but...

build it light then? a bike is the sum of it's parts. The actual Kavenz frame weight is only 800g more than i light carbon enduro frame. Not a lot. But If you want DH-casing, inserts, heavy wheels then every bike feels heavy. Everything lightweight except the Trickstuff brakes is a compromise in...

Anyone who rides an air shock? or switching between air and coil? How does it ride with air? What shocks do you ride? tried different ones?

    Ibis Ripmo V2 Thread

Anyone who rides a v2 or AF with a Fox Float X2 2021 and tried the cascade link? Is it even needed with the new X2?

That's how I think, I don't really notice a negative difference between 140 and 170mm fork on flatter terrain but there are som reserves when it gets really rough or steep. Since the terrain I like is rooty and rocky even when it's flatter a rearward axle path seems like it could be smoother and...

Ok. Hardtail is not an option on the trails I ride, that would suck =) it's often quite chunky, rooty, rocky but you pedal most of the time on the trails I mean.

why? I ride my Ripmo AF with 170mm front and back with a coil and works fine as long as you have lighter wheels and tires for trail. So does a lot of poeple with for exaple the Stumpy Evo which has 10mm less travel, that is not much difference.

I don't mean roads, I mean normal trailriding where the trails/singletrack depend on pedalling and not gravity only.

I'm still looking for more long term reviews. Doesn't anybody live where it's more flattish terrain and ride it like a trail bike during the weeks? I've looked through the entire 66 pages of this thread and not really any useful reviews of the bike and I've only seen 2 reviews from bigger media...

So, any longterm reviews? How does it stand up to bikes like the Ripmo, Hightower? Especially on more pedally terrain. I understand that this bike will outperform them when it gets steep and rough. I own a Ripmo AF right now which I ride everywhere but I alternate 3 wheelsets. I would do the...
