Hello Chris,
Let me introduce myself, I'm Iñaki Merino, the Product Manager of the Kids bicycle family at
Orbea. First of all I'd like to thank you for your input, it's always rewarding to hear that users like our bikes and have a positive attitude to help us improve them!
Regarding your questions and suggestions, I must tell you that although they cannot be perceived on the web's picture, the MX24 Team does have bottle mounts, just like the MX24 XC (actually it is the same frame). So no problem there.
Concerning the cable guides/stops for the chainrings, I can confirm you that they are present in all the MX24 frames. They are hidden on the right hand side of the hydroformed tube.
Orbea's headquarters are located in the heart of the Basque Country, a "little Switzerland" some might say. We -in this case, our children- test all our bike models in the surrounding mountains. The result of the test rides showed that the 10-Speed Deore derailleur was enough for most of the mountain family rides, therefore we do not offer two chainrings as an option (as we say, less is more when it comes to bicycle design).
I suggest you visit one of our stores in Germany and give a try to the 10-S Deore, if you believe you need more, I'm sure that the dealer can help you with the 2-ring chainwheel setup.
Nothing else from my side, I wish you -and your daughter- a long and exciting future in mountain-biking!
Iñaki Merino
PS: We do also provide cable stops on for double-chainwheels in MX20, just in case you wanted to add a younger rider to your team!
