'89 Cinelli Rampichino ( Vertical )

Hello mates,

I decided to open this thread ( my first one on IBC Forum ) to share with you this new project,

I bought this frame approx a year ago and since that time it remained hanging on the wall in my home, now it's time to give a new life to this lovely Italian steel frame

I will try to rebuild it according to the original Cinelli catalog

I hope that you will like my job and I hope that the final result will be appreciated

Of course your comments and suggestions are always very welcome and appreciated

frame is Italian steel , it's made from COLUMBUS OFF-ROAD steel tubing, everything it's ORIGINAL PAINT, I like to keep frames with its own patina ....

First job has been bottom bracket : classic ... a clean and nice M730 ( note that frame it has 70mm BB shell )

Some progress .... headset, fork, U-Brake II ( M733 ), cantilevers ....

and more ...

wheels are XT hubs laced on Ritchey Vantage Pro rims + Ritchey tires ( Z-MAX WCS front + Z-MAX rear )

I will keep you updated with my progress on this rebuild

Congratulations, a full-fledged Cinelli Rampichino 1989. With orginal Saddle, Stem, and that Strong? Seatpost.

Use grey Cables! Like that one on this advertisment. That looks awesome, believe me, I tried it on my bike.




Yours bigger than mine. I wish I`d had the model in between. Plus my handlebar is shortened.

Das Teil ist einfach nur ein Kunstwerk: simple wünderschöne Lackierung + wunderschöne kleine Details Da könnte ich sie wahrscheinlich sogar überzeugen, es bei uns im Wohnzimmer an die Wand zu hängen.
