MTB/ATB-News!
Neuer Threadtitel,

Fairfax Bike l. - Historischer-"Altteile"-Aufbaumix
(threadpage1 for full docu-writeup - incl. a bunch of retro editing)
Parts Lists,
aufgebaut als "The Far Fetched Cunningham" dastehen soll ...

Fairfax Bike ll. - Old (& New) WTB-Parts-Mix Aufbau
B) Cunningham_O_Potts Vintage Steel Version Do-It-All-Prototyp (only one in existence ),
The officially legit Cunningham/Potts DIA-Projects were Steves mid Era Titanium frames
with some of Charlies newly custom made parts at the time. Although the lettering in reference for the decal design was already established while doing some fork collaborations during the early 80s.
That late & last collaboration between these master craftsmen lead to Cunninghams last batch of Bikes shortly after (the E-Series).
https://fotos.mtb-news.de/s/97221?page=9
Year: 1983-1993 - Unquestionable Steve only started TIG welding on the swift models, hence still the idea for this alternating time machine build as yet the fork and flatbar stems are 10 years older than the frame itself!
S/N: 93197 in 15", former code noted by Black Mountain Cycles back then was slightly incorrect with 93167
Frame: Phoenix non suspension corrected 1993
Fork: 1983/84 Cunningham_O_Potts TypeII with Charlie C. Crown Sleeve fillet brazed by Steve P.

Headset: WTB / King Grease Guard with p.c. Gripnut conversionkit pot. modified to match fork shaft length and wtb cable hanger as CC mod. with 2nd topnut topped up
Handlebars
Flat/Riser -> Magura-Moto 840mm (likely to be shortened) L476 on 70mm CC/SP-custom braze F.P. stem/ alternatively 560mm with little sweep late 80s/early 90s WTB Ti bars for 100mm CC-f.braze/f.plate stem.
Dropbar -> Nitto made Specialized RM-3 aka "The Ibis Bar" / Nitto made Wtb stock Polished RM-2 MTB Dropbar. Both of these bars share the same tubing (heat treated) only in different levels of bend and flare.
Shifting
Flatbar -> Suntour Power LD-2800, Suntour Micro-Friction power ratchet minimalist design for vintage bars / vs #CCmodified_Shimano_Xtr_M970 & accommodating RD
Dropshifters -> Suntour XC Microfriction XC LD-3600 thumb shifter, protected by large aluminum "housing" or #LD-2800 on ueber rare WTB Sausage-Links Cunningham style shifter extension plates with adjustable mounting angles!
Front Derailleur: Shimano Deore XT M735 34,9 (for once non endless band version )
Rear Derailleur: Suntour XC Pro short cage (medium out of 3 available lengths!)
or xtr-m950/52/Xt-m772 ...
Braking System
Brake Levers: Ti-Wtb-Flatbar -> rare Dia Compe MX/Tech5 183 ll non BMX type, mini Mtb version,
1987 first year japan production. Dia Compe Version SS-5 from 1992 came right after the

Alles was in Stahl sinnvoll möglich, wurde übertragen. So Cunningham in einem frühen WTB-Infopac (Pre-Phoenix years)!
