JOB PURPOSE

Support SRAM Road Marcom communication objectives relating to product launches, product seeding, and technical expertise as they relate to media, dealers, and consumers. Develops key communication tools that support in-market and media launch activity. Supports launches and in-market brand messaging by obtaining and maintaining trusted relationships with road bike media. Facilitates the seeding of products for launch, distributes communication materials and product to relevant stakeholders and reacts in a timely manner to inquiries, issues and areas of opportunity for the business, specifically those in this region. Works to creatively and consistently keep SRAM and ZIPP Road products and messages top of mind with media.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicates with all road media in specific region within the EU
  • Serves as a technical resource for media, including product presentations, updates, and product presentations
  • Develop press releases and other written communications for internal and external audiences
  • Implement necessary internal communications plans in consultation with internal stakeholders, including product managers and brand communications
  • Track and build media reports in an effort to measure ROI
  • Provide on-site support and brand representation at media launches and consumer event

EDUCATION/ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA marketing, public relations, communications, business or similar preferred
  • 2+ years of bike dealer or bike shop experience preferred
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken); Another European language preferred (Spanish, Italian, French)
  • Strong communication skills – written, oral and live in front of an audience
  • Detail oriented, excellent organization and time management skills; able to balance and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SRAM road history, componentry and technologies
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% and to ride a bike
