So, hier mal was vom "Chef" persönlich für alle, die etwas mehr über das Living-Link erfahren wollen. Ich zitiere mit dessen Erlaubnis:
"Hi, Sacki,
When do you think my Revive....
...
BTW, I was looking at your MTB News forum regarding your Mayhem and noticed a lot of comparisons of LivingLink to DW and VPP. I thought I’d add that while my design, upon cursory examination, looks similar to the aforementioned systems, it has a very distinct difference. That difference is a force component that the others lack. They’re comprised solely of passive pivots.
The timed storing and releasing of energy makes a distinct difference in the pedaling “feel” and performance of the LivingLink design.
After we originally prototyped it with a proof-of-concept test bike, we subsequently built four bikes that had an adjustment feature that was capable of timing the maximum flex of the leaf spring anywhere within the travel range of the bike.
Initially, the four of us rode the bikes on multiple rides, each rider setting the adjustment in different positions during the week-long testing period, and upon comparing our notes, unanimously agreed that one particular position performed better than any other.
That position being with the maximum bend set approximately to the center of the travel range. This position was notably better than the opposite which was with the max bend set to the beginning (as well as the end) of the range of travel (that one produced a very mushy and draggy feel).
So, while the quantity of force may seem negligible when the suspension is cycled with the shock dis-attached, the bio-mechanical effect is quite profound. Meat motors are very sensitive critters!
I now have 3 issued patents and one more on the way.
Ciao 4 now,
Wayne"
