Your tasks
You will take full responsibility for our event activities in Europe, with a focus on the D/A/CH region to start with. You will develop the event strategy, in line with marketing and sales goals, and build relationships with suppliers, event organizers, freelancers and partners. Your job will be to bring Aventon’s brand vision to life and ensure a positive customer experience to build trust in the Aventon brand. You will be responsible for every step – from planning to logistics to the execution of our B2B and B2C events and the respective budgets.

  • Develop and implement the event strategy: Promote brand awareness in the DACH region (and in other European countries in the next step) by creating positive experiences that appeal to a broad cycling audience.
  • Development and responsibility for the annual event plan and budget.
  • Leading and executing cross-media events that align with the creative and strategic goals for Aventon events.
  • Building and managing the newly founded Aventon Europe event team.
  • Managing the entire event production process including logistics, supplier management, budgeting, staffing and on-site execution.
  • Building, maintaining and expanding a robust national and international network of industry professionals, talent, service providers and venues.
  • Develop, manage and reconcile event budgets to ensure all events are delivered within budget while maintaining high quality.
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers, vendors and venues to optimize costs.
  • Oversee the hiring and management of temporary staff for events as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as creative, marketing, sales, brand partnerships and PR to ensure successful event execution.

This is what you need to be successful

  • At least 3 years of experience in event management, with a proven track record in executing events of various sizes in the bicycle, sports or outdoor industry.
  • Training in event management, marketing, PR or communication is an advantage.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Expertise in budgeting, scheduling and event logistics.
  • A creative and analytical thinker, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, able to manage and lead event stakeholders.
  • The ability to work under pressure and enjoy working in a forward-looking, dynamic, global team environment.
  • Have a deep understanding of consumer needs in the cycling, sports or outdoor industry, a passion for outdoor activities is a plus.
  • Have experience in managing brand and business partnerships.
  • Experience with event production software and tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken German skills as well as solid English skills are required.
