Johannes Herden ist 1986 geboren, ist eines der Nordlichter des Teams und wohnt am obersten Rand von NRW, nahe des Teutoburger Waldes. Der studierte Sportwissenschaftler ist bei MTB-News seit 2012 als Redaktionsleiter und Fotograf tätig, kümmert sich um die Planung des redaktionellen Inhalts und testet auch das eine oder andere Mountainbike oder Rennrad.
Hannes ist am liebsten mit dem Trailbike oder dem Enduro unterwegs und fetzt auf flowigen bis technischen Trails ins Tal. Als Ausdauergrundlage ist das Rennrad ebenfalls stets präsent.

Mir schien es dieses Jahr so:
- Weniger Tricks
- Kleinere Drops (den von Silva mal außenvorgelassen)
- Extrem viele Stürze (fast 50% der Läufe, oder?), dafür nichts Ernstes. Puh.
Ich fands insgesamt spannend anzuschauen. Dass nicht mehr viel Neues passiert - vielleicht sind die Möglichkeiten einfach langsam ausgeschöpft und alles, was drüber geht, wäre mit Risiken verbunden, die die Fahrer nicht eingehen wollen? Wenn man bedenkt, dass einige ihren zweiten Lauf nichtmal angefangen haben (statt einfach ohne Tricks und Maximalgeschwindigkeit runterzufahren), dann wird deutlich, dass sie da über ihre Komfortzone hinausgehen. Hat Rheeder im Interview am Ende ja selbst gesagt.
