Hello. I have not really posted here before aside from a bit in the component restoration thread so I thought I'd take this opportunity to share the build of one of my favorite bikes, the 93 Yeti ARC.

Here is how the frame came to me around this time last year:

I originally wanted to build a rigid ARC, but decided to go for a team inspired period correct build instead:

Parts started coming together earlier this year:

Finally mostly complete

Now fully complete at the Mammoth Kamikaze this past weekend:

Final build spec

93 19" ARC frame (original paint)
Manitou 2 fork (has new elastomers which for some reason have reduced travel, need to work on this)
Chris King headset
ATAC team cut stem, Hyperlite bar
Grafton brakes & cranks
Ringle hubs and seat post
Shimano M900 XTR shifters, front and rear derailleur
Mavic 261 rims
Avocet O2 Ti saddle
Onza Porc front, Tioga Psycho K rear

I will most likely remove the Grafton brakes and replace them with M900 XTR, Graftons are terrible. I may also swap the Manitou 2 for a Manitou 1 if I can put a nice one together from the three I have on hand.

Hallo,

ich kann kein Englisch, aber die Karre ist klasse und die Landschaft macht richtig Lust, den Fahrer und das Material an seine Grenzen zu bringen.

Cheers

The landscape is inspiring indeed! Thanks for sharing those impressions. :daumen:

I´m not too much fond of the anodised parts chosen by some or many in that era but it´s a typical Yeti. ;)
