My Tyee 29 L Alu.

Hello, sorry for english and maybe a silly question. I was assembling Tyee 29 yesterday and noticed the rear thru axle does not go through the entire thread on the other side (see picture, about a centimetr missing). Can anyone who has a bike confirm that is normal?

Unlucky I probably wont have a chance to try one, I guess I will stick with Large for now and hope it will be good for my riding. Honestly I am not looking for a tank that you point down and hold...
