I think "225" implies that he´s looking for the MTB-Version with triple index for the front derailleur?
The "125" look exactly the same from the outside. Often found on vintage Tri-A-bikes
Do have the triple or double indexed version Daniel?

I have no idea. It has no visible markings or anything. Haven't tried the indexing, though.

There is no double Version, all tripple.

I too have never understood why the 125 cannot be good for suntour as it has three index like the 215 or 225...

After some detours, we came to the following conclusion: you’re looking for the Suntour version, and there is no version for two chainrings only.
The ones I have are for Shimano only.
Was a productive day after all.

...don´t think so - i do have a "Griptape"-Version that only had two notches in the "primary cam".


This diagram is from the 125 and obviously has three notches. Don´t know the model number mine has but it definatly had only two. I used the primary and booster cam from another shifter (maybe 125 or 225) with three notches and the outer housing with Griptape to make it work for my RockyMountain project...
That was years ago and i don´t know what model numbers i have. Will check when a service is necessary.

Guess "R" and "F" in addition to the model number marked on the inside of the shifter stands for "Rear" and "Front"? "T" maybe "Triple"
