To be honest, i would carefully assume that the bike in its current set up would maybe score below or just above 1000 Euros (800-1200...just a guess). You will probably be more lucky with selling frame and parts individually.

Hi mate, thanks for your opinion i don't want to start discussion about pricing but to be honest i saw on this forum your price only for a Merlin Mountain frame, without any documents and not in mint conditions like mine, one more information this bike has been purchased for an equivalent amount over 5000 Euros in 1996.

The problem is that unless you find someone who really wants a Merlin and loves your setup, everyone would just keep the frame and two or three parts (I for one would go with frame, seatpost and brake lever) and try to sell everything else. Therefore your asking price is way to high, since you may get 500€ for the rest of the parts, which would leave me with above 2000€ for a frameset...

Splitting the bike seems to me the only solution, next to ebay or keeping it.

I don't want to discuss either since it is your bike and sales ad.....BUT Merlin doesnt equal Merlin...e.g. my last frame and fork were from 1990 (straight bends, early serial, u-brake), whereas yours is a 1994. Generally the early ages are much more sought after. And it also was in a very good condition. Secondly the 1996 asking price is pretty much irrelevant since we all know what the bikess did cost way back (KLEIN, Fat Chance etc.). Not sure that is the correct reference. Market and request is normally more helpful.

Good luck with your sale!

Won't work mate, deal with it. Go through the parts, each one of them. If you don't know, ask here or in the YT section. The best side effect is that you'll get to know why what's worth what. And if someone paid the equivalent of 5k back then... don't blame it on others. If you want to fund something else with the sale, do the effort ( = sell in nicely cleaned parts). And then put it on eBay!
