Liebe Gemeinde,

"webby" - I really don't know you that well webby so you have to introduce yourself! ;)

"oldmanbreezer" - same for you Phil I just know you live in Scotland!

"YoGrant!"

Okay guys your turn - just say hi - they won't bite here!

hi everyone

firstly a big thanks to phaty for getting the UK contingent set up on this forum!
I've been following this forum for a while since I saw the link on www.yetifan.com just over a year ago. Nice to be able to attempt to communicate with you guys at last (even if I dont speak a word of german, sorry about that!). Some very nice bikes in the photo section!

I translated phatys introduction of me above, still didnt make any sence!

Will any of you guys be attending the Euro single speed champs in Scotland next year? Quite a few of the UK retro scene will be attending! By then I'll hopefully have built up my 93 fat chance yo eddy. possibly a 1990 yeti FRO & definately my 99 fat chance titanium.

Hi,

Cheers for sorting this out Phaty.

A little about myself... I have a 93 Yo-Eddy which is now pretty much retired and also a 97 Shock a Billy, and I hope more Fat's in the future. I should be getting a WTB Phoenix soon.
See you all around.

... nothing to be sorry about ;) that's daily business here, after long and hard years we are able now to understand swabians, swiss, austrians and bavarians, so where is the problem :D

At last a grown up forum where you can talk about classic bikes and singlespeeds and not get shouted down by trolls!

... with something usefull :D look here, the question was "what do you know about "MountainBikes" , no not multiple bikes, more classic...

the photos should help, what's the story behind, the guys, pic's etc.

ciao

thanks for the warm welcome (& further links, that blue ritchey is very nice :P )

Do you guys advertise parts directly onto this page? or is there a seperate forum for classifieds?

I havent been to berlin since before the wall came down, so aside from the bikes & people would be pretty interested in coming back.

Is there going to be a repeat of the retro contest for 04 (that was held at the bike expo?) I'd also be very interested in going to see that. maybe more than 20bikes this time?

thanks

in case you'd like to offer, trade or search for classic-parts you can advertise them directly....

in case it's just normal bike-stuff you normally offer them in IBC's 'VERKAUFE-FORUM' here>>>> http://www.mtb-news.de/forum/f6/ (in case you wanna sell smth.)

for searching for something 'normal' there is the 'SUCHE-FORUM' >>>http://www.mtb-news.de/forum/f97/

ok, thanks for the information!
so something like a ringle mobypost 26.8mm in classic yeti blue NOS still in packaging, hopefully going on ebay.co.uk this coming sunday. Would I advertise that here, or in the classifieds forum?

I've also just found a friend some tange switchblades, I know from phaty these arent universally loved! But what kind of value/price would you put against a pair of these (NOS 1in 175mm threaded)?

many thanks

well, tange switchblades >>> some were traded for about 20pounds others for a hundred .....

for example, your moby post - this one you could advertise here in the classic forum ... i just meant all this really new stuff- like 2003 xtr combos or stuff like that - 'think you now what i mean...

Habt ihr Pillermänner eigentlich kapiert, daß Scant eine 26,8mm Ringle Moby Post in Blau verkauft! :D

PMs gehen bei den Boys im übrigen nicht!! Aber die emails sind aktiviert!

I told you guys we are mostly nice and harmless on here.
The trolls were killed by Kokopelli, Lebaron and the others more outspoken members!

phaty,
even after I translated it, it still doesnt make sence "
Their Pillermaenner actually understood that Scant sells a 26,8mm Ringle Moby post office in blue! PMs in all other respects do not go with the Boys!! But the enamels are activated! "

lebaron, thanks for the info :)

Pillermann is a nice word for dickhead Scant!

And usually they always LUST for the Moby so I woke them up to tell them that you sell one!
Don't even try that stupid Babblefish - you can always ask with a quote if there is really something you want to know! we have enough smartarses (like me) who will help you out!

I am setting up accounts for another 6 Brits from STW now ... maybe you should send this thread to Chipps and Mark ...! :D
