Neben der Kommunikation mit dem R&D Team unseres Stammhauses MERIDA Taiwan und den asiatischen Produktions-Partnern, wirken Sie in erster Linie verantwortlich an der Entwicklung neuer und der Weiterentwicklung bestehender Bikes mit. Dazu erstellen Sie 3D Konstruktionen von Rahmen und Anbauteilen mit Hilfe des CAD Systems CREO. Für diese verantwortungsvolle Aufgabe suchen wir Bewerber/-innen im Besitz einer fundierten technischen
Ausbildung und/oder einem abgeschlossenen Studiums (Bachelor/Master) vorzugsweise Maschinenbau oder einer Ingenieurswissenschaft. Intensive Kenntnisse der Fahrradbranche und des relevanten Wettbewerbs sind eine ebenso grundlegende Voraussetzung wie ein sehr gutes Verständnis technischer Zusammenhänge. Ein sicheres, technisches Englisch als Basis für die direkte Kommunikation Ihrer bei der MERIDA R&D Center GmbH erarbeiteten Projekte mit dem MERIDA Head-Quarter in Taiwan – verbunden mit mehreren Asien-Reisen pro Jahr – sollten Sie selbstverständlich ebenso beherrschen. Vorkenntnisse im Bereich des konstruktiven „Rahmenbaus“ innerhalb der Bike-Branche sind für die ausgeschriebene Stelle wünschenswert. Sie passen perfekt in unser Team, wenn Sie zudem flexibel, teamfähig und kommunikationsbereit sind.

Besides the communication with the R&D team in our MERIDA headquarter and manufacturing base in Taiwan, your primary responsibility is the development of new bicycles as well as the evolution of existing projects. In order to do so, you will be creating 3D constructions of frames and components with the help of the CAD system CREO. For this demanding role, we are looking for applicants with a profound technical apprenticeship and/or with a degree (Bachelor/Master) ideally in mechanical engineering or engineering sciences. Further requirements are the extensive knowledge of the cycling industry and the ability to understand and work within technical contexts. To communicate your projects in the most direct way with our MERIDA headquarter in Taiwan, fluent and technical English is also required. You will be expected to travel multiple times a year to our production facilities and offices in Asia. Prior knowledge in the construction of ‘bike frames’ gained in the bicycle industry is highly desirable. You will fit into our team perfectly if you are flexible, communicative and a real team player.
