Hallo - Mountain biker with questions; moving from US to Stuttgart

Which of these Augustiner beers do you recommend? I will be on the look out for them.

I usually go with "Hell", but some of my friends prefer "Edelstoff". "Edelstoff" is tasty but "Hell" is just that little bit better  I think you would call those two lagers. Pilseners are usually filled into "Baby bottles", 0,33 liters, in Germany. That´s a little less than 1/10 of a gallon.

In Bavaria you can get those nearly anywhere, gas stations, grocery stores and pubs or dance clubs.

BTW: this hydration pack thing is plain awesome!

That tap runs my own Hefeweizen. The Zapfhahnseuler was bought on ebay long ago. I've been using the same recipie since 2003 that I fashioned after the Augustiner Dunklehefe weizen. I knew I was moving back to the US and knew it'd be difficult to get a decent Hefeweizen. It's much better than a warm Binding ;)

Again...where is the BEER? :daumen:

(though it´s a little better than Heineken, indeed). Try Augustiner or Tegernseer Spezial, and you´ll know what i´m talking about ;)

Arrived in Stuttgart and..

...rode trails around Kitzbühel and Aschau im Zillertal, Austria:

I ran into a group of local mtbers this weekend when I was out on my single speed along the River Enz. I'd hope to see them again.

Tschüss!

Where exaktly do you live now?
Perhaps there's some chance to ride in the next days.
I'm coming from Esslingen and there are some nice trails in the "Schurwald". It's a big forest, from Stuttgart Bad-Canstatt down to Schorndorf.
Hope you're feeling comfortable and welcome to Germany!

I have a place over near Markgröningen. There are some cool paved trails near by, but I'm still looking for a bit of sweet single track to get my tires dirty on.
