Liteville 601

etc...

English:
This question is very difficult. And over all: it's too general!
For an answer that would make sense to you you have to give us more details:
What do you want to do with the 601?
What do you expect?
What type of terrain do you want to ride?
Do you want to focus on uphill or downhill?
etc...

I understand the difficulty
You'll see. I have a 901 with 170mm Fox DHX Air ... And to change it for a bike park : Boxxer & CCDB ....
But my doubts are whether the 601 for better AllMoutain use a 165 mm or 190mm
Liteville recommend the 190 ... but not very sure of the reason....

I have tried my 901 with 241mm and 170mm dampers.
With 241mm DHX-Air: great for downhill, not good at all for uphill.
With 241mm Marzocchi Roco Air TST-R: great for uphill, great for downhill, including bikepark.
With 222mm DHX-Air: great for uphill - great for soft downhill - the perfect all-mountain-setup for "soft" trails and tour.

I guess it's the same with the 601 as obviously the difference is not so big.

As you want to purchase a 601 along your 901 money might not be the decisive point, is it?
So why not fit your 901 with a decent 241mm coil shock and order your 601 with the 241mm DHX-Air. With the 222mm from the 901 you can build it up as a light-Freerider with around 13kg - and try the 241mm if you want. If you don't need the 241mm anymore just sell it.

Have tested my 901 with the Roco Tst R Coil with 240 mm (very rare!) this day- perfect uphill even in very steep sections and for what I´ve tested it on a very short downhilltrack without big drops- super sensitive I guess.
So my Fox Dhx air will be my reserve-damper- not even more any more.
I think, that the 601 is not that different.
