noise

i sent email to canyon and they replied me this is normally no problem

may i know that is it normal on my bike?
thank you very much:daumen:
Dear Mrs. Lo,

thanks for your email.

There should normally no problem with the noise, the gapes are not the reason for it.
The gaps are just an optical deficiency, so you can use your bike normally, there is not a thing which is defect or something else.

I hope I was able to help you further with my email. If you have any further questions or difficulties, please contact us again.

1. I would not say the gap is normal.... why should it be normal?

Maybe try first to tighten it with the recommended moment of torque. (use a torque wrench)
The drawing you can find here.....

2. The video you shared below is mine.
But the problem in the video comes from the main pivot thru axle, next to the bottom bracket.
As you described you can hear the noise when you pedaling.
In some cases it's enough when you demount the axle and grease it. I needed to glue mine in place. (also here, use a torque wrench when you see a specified torque moment)

Here is a thread regarding this kind of noise. Of course in german, you might need to translate it.

i will try it tonight, hope it work
and could you tell me is it difficult to take this off ?
three of black axle are very difficult to remove:heul:

Not really difficult. At first you need to take off the crank to get access. On one side you will see the screw head of axle and on the other the nut. After you have removed the axle take a look how the surface is looking like. My axle boring had a lot of outraging flash, as a result of this the axle was scratched. If you find something strange take a picture .... at least you can complain it to get spare parts free of charge. Take a look on the thread I linked, on page 5 or 6 there are some pictures.

thanks a lot~!!
your information are helpfully
good night:daumen::daumen::daumen:

My Torque had the same space between rocker arm and frame as i got it back from bearing replacement service.
I could slide the applying rocker arm 2 to 3 mm in axial direction even though the screw was fixed by allowed torque (Nm).
My frame had to be send back to Canyon and got a new rocker arm and bearing as well.
The (official) reason was, the tolerances of the components did add in negative ways ;-)

Check if your rocker arm is moving in axial direction by pushing and pulling it sideways.

Unfortunately, the screw was broken when i was to release from rocker arm.....
who know how much for this screw from canyon, because i cant find any screw can order from their website.
i have sent email to them last night but still waiting for their reply

Maybe you can find something at a DIY market next to you? Or another bicycle shop? Email replies from Canyon can take up to several days but they always answer...

The Gap on the left side is maybe a false compression of the bearing. You can tighten this screw (washer) with the Cap on the Top tube (this black plate near the headset).
On this plate are 2 pins which fit perfect into those on the big blue washer on the rocker arm. So just try to tighten this a bit if it is loose.
The screw itself (the broken one) can be ordered at Canyon (produkt #A1017964 ) by mail.

thanks all,
i have sent email to them and waiting for canyon reply
i really hope that i can fix all the problems and riding with this bike

this pic was taken at first day when i received from UPS

Look at Canyon FRX 2013 PDF there you can find the Partnumbers. I think all parts can be orderd separatly.

Additonal to your problem you should order Screw Number 34 and 29 for replacement. The hexagon sometimes gets damaged by fixing.

Check out if you can get the screws from you local dealer... oder DIY store, like told before. I'm not sure if it's worth to pay everytime for each screw + shipment from germany.

Good luck.

So you have to screw in the left srew with some turns and knock carfully on it with a piece of wood. Than the right screw should come out a little bit. Than you should be able to pull the right screw out. It works better, when the frame is lying on the floor.

this frame is not easy to service...
every screws also need this method to take out...
:D:D:D:D

Oh no, thats not true ;). It is very easy and the method like you said is always the same. If one side of the screw comes out, but the other side not, then you have to screw it a little bit back in and knock on it. :daumen:

If you have any questions left, dont be shy and ask :)

Best regards,
Simon

i will do it when the new screws arrived
they are still at Frankfurt by UPS:D:D:D
thanks a lot

how can i remove this part(black screw)?
i am sorry i am stupid in DIY
XD"

First you have to open screw No.29, No 30 and No 31. Then screw No 10 and No23 as i explained it to you. Finally you have to open No.26. I think No26 is the screw that got broken, right? If you have opened all the screws, then you will be able to seperate the rockerarm into two parts (rockerarm is No1 and No2).
