German a kilo 1.2 gabel gebrochen

Sorry to write in English.. my german writing is not good enough.

In february my 3 year old GA kilo 1.2 fork broke in a hard descent. I broke my collarbone. The fork was serviced every year. GA doesn't come with a solution and doesn't recall the fork. If you still use this fork on a mtb be warned. The fork is NOT SAFE!!!

En dan zegt je vork ineens KRAK en lig je daar.

Looks like metal fatigue to me, but i'm no engineer. Did you ever crash with the fork?

Interesting how both legs broke off during that descent!

bin zwar kein GA fan, aber das hier ist völlig wertlos ohne die genauen umstände zu kennen.
wer sagt denn das mit der gabel nicht schon mal ordentlich vor ne wand, auto, hirsch, baumstumpf gefahren wurde ....
sieht aus wie ne ordentliche überlast, wie z.b. ein zu kurz gesprungener double, oder eine mächtige kompression in dem "hard descent". beides wären fahrfehler und sicher nicht GA anzulasten.
