:daumen: Hello!

Sorry for speaking english but I'm a newcomer to Hamburg and doesn't speak german.

I'm spanish and I've come to work at airbus. I'm living now at Reeperbahn but I'll move in two days to Harburg.

Two points:
First: I like MTB and I've seen many shops and MTB's but i don't know where are the trails or hatever to ride (no mountains I think).

Second: I'm trying to find somewhere to buy a second hand bike, a cheap MTB to use it in the city and in the "mountain", do you know where can I go?
I don't want to spend much more than 100€.

Vielen danke.

Re: Hello!
I don't want an aluminium bike with suspension fork.
I've riding many years (last 10) with an steel (and cheap, it costed about 100€ new) bike without suspension and without reliability problems, thats the kind of bike I'm looking for. Good for the city and good for the mountain.
Don't understand why there are no bikes like this on stores.
I've looking at hamburg stores and there are no bikes cheaper than 300 €.
And second hand ones I've seen were city bikes useless for the mountain.

Hola Nor Bak!

Welcome in Harburg. Harburg is great for MTBiking and the E51 bus brings you directly to the Airbus plant as well, I know from experience ;)

Every Tuesday evening some people go onto MTB Tour through the surrounding Hills: The direct link to this Thread (in the North Germany Subforum):

Usually we start around 18:00 and you are welcome to join us.

concerning the second question: the kind of bikes you are looking for, do not have a good reputation in the forum. But if you want something like that, you should look at Karstadt Sport in the Phoenix Center or Marktkauf.

Hi.

I've looked those places and there is nothing i like.

Otherwise I've seen many bikes in streets like the one I like, full rigid and goodlooking of brands like focus, stevens and bergamont, a klein attitude too :) where are they sold?
And where can I look for second hand bikes? internet, shops, ...

I guess rigid bikes are rarely sold these days. The ones you see are probably pretty old ones that are used as citybike because they do not have any value anymore. A bike that is still worth some money would be stolen as soon you leave it out of sight. These days everybody wants a bike with at least a suspension fork. If you want a full rigid bike, I do not know where to look for it for you, sorry. But good luck looking for something ;) and please tell us if you found a suitable bike.

I don't think that you will find a bike of the brands you were talking about for your planned amount of money, not even used!

For one hundred Euro the only chance I see is to try to find a used no-name bike with very cheap parts. And I'm afraid you won't have fun with it, you should really think of spending a bit more....
