Hello, I have just joined the forums, and look forward to participating in 29er discussions. I am the product manager for 29er bikes at Specialized. My aplogies, but I can only post in English....I am not fluent in German. Here is a photo of my custom S-Works singlespeed.

Re: Hello
Hi Eric,

welcome here. What a coincidence that you joined today when our chancellor Angie Merkel gave her speech at the US congress.

German companies need a long breath to turn successful in the US and vice versa. So I appreciate you take it with 29ers here and you are personally committed as a PM overseas. I am sure it will pay off in the long run, when Trek can only catch up again after pulling out their ground braking Gary Fisher brand this summer.

Regards
Bodo

hi eric

welcome and here is a thought from me about modell politics in your company, why on earth is it impossible to even special order a stumpjumper 29 in germany?

thanks andy

Hi Eric,
nice bike :daumen: !!!
Unfortunately, it won't be possible to build up such bike in Germany since the frameset is not offered officially here. That's a little bit curious for me.

Eric,

welcome to the 29er diaspora. ;)

I'd like to discuss two things:

  1. why on earth couldn't we buy an Stumpi S-Works Frameset here in Germany? Maybe you could talk to Sam Benedict or someone to clear this up?
  2. HA on the Stumpi FSR was really slack, but Spec didn't change it for 2010, so handling kept very slow?

TIA

Hi Eric,

R U still with us?

Current issue of german BIKE-magazine has a short interview with you, where you stated, that Specialized is offering only four 29er models in Germany in order to test market opportunities.

My question is:
Two weeks ago my buddy and me ordered two 29er S-Works Hardtails.

But what the heck? Only ONE is assigned for 04/2010 and MAYBE the second one will be delivered too.

How are you going to test market opportunities when there are no bikes to sell?

Curious,
redbyte

Hi Eric!

We want those 29er S-Works Stumpi Hardtails here! (with reasonable pricing)

It's a bad joke that it seems to be that there are only less than 10 available in Germany.

I hope that the situation will be better soon. I really would like to ride a light 29er HT next year.

Lots of greetings,
Dirk

Eric,
seems that you are going to create a marketing mythos with the S-Works 29er HT: excellent magazine publicity and tests but never seen in real life .
Luckily that I could get one of rare framsets :geschenk: in the U.S
well done Spec

Jo, ist schade. Hätte mir hier auch interessante Diskussionen erhofft. Ändert aber nix dran, dass das Rad einfach großartig aussieht!
