Hi everyone, last week the frame kit of the Fanes 6.1 all 27.5 arrived at my house
Immediately with my friend Chicco we started the big puzzle with the various components purchased online.
In 7 hours of work we have completed the great puzzle, I'll show you the result at the bottom.
The components:
Frame: Fanes 6.1 all 27.5
Rear shox: Rockshox SUPER DE LUXE ULTIMATE AIR 230x65

Handlebar: Twinworks cute a 76cm
Grip handlebar: Ergon Enduro
Brake: Shimano SAINT front 203 rear 180
Cain stay protection: Made in home
Weight 17.8 kg
The Setting:
My weight of 56 kg all dressed up with full-face helmet, kneepads and water backpack made the setting of the rear shox supplied by Alutech with Rock Shox Super de Luxe ultimate AIR 230x65 frame kit a bit difficult, solved with a pressure of 140 PSI and LSC and HSC full open ... and the Rock Shox ZEB ULTIMATE 170mm fork with 47 PSI with HSC fully open and LSC +2 clicks from fully open.
The ride test:
Downhill it proved to be A MONSTER, any obstacle on the track passes over it, the 27.5-inch wheels with a wheelbase of 1185 make it very agile in very technical sections, and on straight tracks it has excellent stability, the only limit It's me that high speeds scare me.
Unfortunately, the 17.8 kg are felt uphill, over 8% on climbs ... but I'm a climber and I pedaled it even on sections over 20%.
Conclusions:
Personally I'm having fun like crazy... Thanks to Alutech who worked very well with very nice finishes with well done welds. Now I enjoy these holidays riding on the trails.
Manuel.

Did you mix up the numbers in your weight?
56kg versus 65kg?
Either way, I think Downhill tires plus cushcore is a little overdone...
But it's of course your bike!

I have a Fanes as well, 85kg, and ride Maxxis DD EXO+ without Insert, 1,3bar/1,8bar.
No problems

Hai confuso i numeri nel tuo peso?
56 kg contro 65 kg?

Nessun problema
Hi @Skwal
No, i am 52 kg, but with protection and helmet and all dressed in a summery way.
you're right, but I'm terrified of breaking the new rear wheel. Here in my area the paths are all full of big stones. They have no maintenance and my ride is not clean.
I prefer to travel safe. I use 20 PSI front and 22 PSI .
