Non German speaking member here - need help!

Hello there,
My German is very bad, but I am trying to improve it since I got the job in one international company located in Germany (I will soon move to Germany and start working).

Few days ago i was searching "Bikemarkt" for some items and I found one item that i was particularly interested in. I contacted seller in English, but i guess he was afraid that I was some kind of scammer or something. Soon after that he just deleted that item and never replied to my purchase request.

I do not quite understand how all these things work . Can someone explain to me what happened there, and what can I do to avoid such reactions?

I would also need some help to reach that seller again, since i really want to buy that item. Any help is really appreciated.

In the meanwhile I'll work on my German language skills, so that in the future I could communicate without using English .

Hi and welcome,

Perhaps the seller doesn't speaking English at all. Keep on trying, i can hardly imagine that you did something wrong only by contacting the seller.
For the first few times, you shouldn't insist on Paypal, keep with regular bank transfers.

I presume you are looking for a bike, which you will use while you are here?

Hey bobons, thank you for your reply . You're right, that could be also an issue. After all, you can't just expect from everyone to speak English. I really have to learn German quickly and then I hope everything will be smoother.

I was looking for some parts for my 2nd bike that I am bringing with me (listed bellow my avatar ).

And thanks for those suggestions, I've been already browsing those pages...
