Hi everyone, I'm larslo28's brother. The rear triangle of my Statera Scor4060Z LT cracked after about 790km in exactly the same places as everyone else's (probably much earlier, but that's when I noticed it). Statera offered to replace the frame with a black one, but unfortunately neither Statera nor BMC/Scor are providing us with the requested proof that the obvious design flaw in the rear triangle has been fixed.
Scor's reply was:
"Good day,
We thank you for choosing a SCOR bike and for your enjoyment with it.
Its frame will be replaced with a new MY24 frame.
Please discuss this with your dealer.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
Best regards
BMC & SCOR Support Team
We then inquired again:
"The dealer cannot provide me with any information or proof regarding this matter."
This information must be provided by your company. Therefore, the question again:
Does the MY24 frame batch still exhibit this specific defect in the rear triangle, or not?
I would like a concrete answer to the question of whether you have taken any measures to rectify this defect; otherwise, I cannot accept the exchange and will be legally obligated to demand a refund under the warranty.
I request a prompt response and answer to my question.
Thank you very much!
There was no answer to this!
Statera also provides no answers and merely points out that a frame replacement is proportionate for them; I have the feeling of being brushed off there.
"As you may already be aware, BMC/SCOR cannot and will not issue a written confirmation that the new frame will no longer break."
We still recommend replacing the frame and continuing to use the bike, as experience has shown that the problems with the broken rear triangle do not reappear after the frame replacement.
We are happy to answer any further questions you may have.
I will not accept this and will take legal action if necessary. Without proof of a modification to the frame or indication of a series without this design flaw, I will not accept any repairs and demand a refund. We can gladly join forces for legal action in this matter. (Joint litigation)
