I have realized that there are two versions of Sigma Mirage X set. One is 5W + 20W bulbs and the other is 5W + 10W bulbs. Why is that? Means it that the 10W have a less bright light but works longer?
And is it possible to replace 10W bulb with 20W?

In fact, I am bit confused about those two modifications. I have written to Sigma, but they still did not answered me.

the 10 watt version is the new 2004 modell. this thread is about the difference between both. it's a fact that the 10w version works longer. it MIGHT BE less brighter than the 20 watt version. maybe sigma has improved more instead of just changing the bulb? a good 10w spot COULD work like a normal 20w. just have a look at osram's 20w irc which is as bright as a normal 35w spot.
another mirage-thread.
you want to buy the mirage? home made lights are better!

The pb battery from the sigma mirage is not very big with only 3,2 Ah - and if you use it if it is very could outside it will loose 20-40% of its capacity. With the 20 and 5 watt spot together the battery often is empty after 35-45 minutes.

That ist the reason for the new 2004 model with only 10 watt - they want to make it burn longer. The new 10 watt spot is as bright as the old 20 watt spot - that says sigma - i can't believe that!

If you only want to ride in easy terrain, the 5 watt spot coul be enough - if you want to ride in heavy terrain with al lot of turns i think you must have the 20 watt spot - but imagine - it will kill the battery in 35-45 minutes!!!

Before you buy the mirage, think about a selfmade light!
