Hello

Sorry for my English but my German is not good (I can read German but not write so feel free to answer in German)

Is the 2011 or 2012 Torque 9.0 Vertride good for pedaling uphill?

The weight (~13.5 kilos) is VERY LOW! :) But will the geometry help for pedaling long distances? I'll put TALAS in 140mm with lockout and the rear DHX air in ProPedal

thanks!

it is exactly designed for that.
No problem going 1000m altitude in one go, provider that your legs have enough power

I can confirm this. Tours with 1500hm and 50km are no problem. There are other bikes witch are faster at the uphill part, but the downhill part is just fun :)
Only on steep roads you have to work a little bit harder to keep the front wheel on the ground.

Thanks a lot for your answers.

I understand that it will not pedal like a pure XC bike but I hope it can pedal similar to my current meta 5.5 (140mm) which is 14.5 kilos.

Another question is: I am between small and medium. If I get the small will pedaling become harder?

was the same for me, between small an medium. i took medium, because i use the torque for trailriding in the swiss alps - uphill ability is as important as downhill. i'm just happy with the 2011 torque vertride and i can surely recommend it to you.

How will it become harder if I choose small instead of medium?

I can understand that the front end will have a tendency to rise (be lifted) while pedaling uphill. But anything else?

thanks a lot
