Actually it's a G
H1, so similar to the G1 but with a bigger sensor so has better image quality. On the whole a very powerful light weight photo / video system for those days when you're facing +2000Hm.
Regarding the Steinschlag point above, yes, it's regrettable that it's shown here, particularly as both riders are very sensitive to this. In this case it wasn't a big issue since there was a ledge just below to catch it. But I hear you, we have to be safe. The Vertrider codex has some solid points and is worth reading.
For full face helmets, well, I've tried a few of the new ones recently and I'm surprised how amazingly light they are now. Personally, I think it's always safer to wear one and, because the new ones are so light, I'm gonna get one soon.
For the camera angles - pretty much all the time filming I try and get the cam level. Sloping horizons aren't cool in film and so much resolution is lost correcting it. For stills it's different, I think, and many of the bike shots these days have a little angle to accentuate the flow, and it works. That said, at about 3:20min there is a little tilt - but, nevertheless, I know of very few people that would get on a bike there. Didn't see any joggers up there either (I normally notice them

@Rainer - you've got a point, Dude. Even though I feel the presentation quality is better on Vimeo, I guess Thomas wants the vids embedded on his site. Which is cool. A front pager has as much hit value as VdW, if not more, but there's nothing stopping people uploading/publishing interesting material and emailing Thomas to ask him to highlight it. He's happy for content and we're happy to watch it. Speaking of which, when's the next Ryan.Air premier?
Thanks for the generally positive feedback anyway. I still have 30 secs of funny Tobi interview on top, may be I'll publish it soon! ;-)
