Hi!
Sorry, but i can only speak in english... hope thats not a problem with you

I have a question about shock... how to get best results from this frame................ how much air preasure should i put in (also in bottom out), and how much clicks on bottom out... how to adjust frame position (what exactly i mean is in the picture) .... i am recieving a lot of bottoming from this bike..... even on less then 1m drops.... But i dont whant it to be to hard, i like softer feel, but without bottoming..... is there any chance i can get that.....

There is a whole thread only about the setup of the Torque 3 2006:
Set up Torque. http://www.mtb-news.de/forum/showthread.php?t=229010
The Fox DHX can not compensate the degressiv characteristic of the rear end link (was changed in the 2007 model).
The only good cure is to mount a RS pearl 3.3 or 3.1 damper which has a extrem progressive characteristic.
Best regards
Schappi

Thanks for answer...... So only RS pearl is cure? ... and if you can explain what is differences with this shock installed.... so this is the only shock that will work good with torque 3 frame?

thanks for the link, i know this thread but i doesn't speak german at all :(

Fox tried to get with the DHX Air a relative linear characteristik like a coil damper. which by itself is good. Canyon made a mistake with the linkage geometry of the rear that the linkage ratio of the rear end is degressive instead of progressive or linear. But this is only valid for the 2006 Model!!!!
RS made a mistake with the pearl that the characteristic is so progerssive that with a normal geometry you are not able to utilize the whole suspension travel. If you calculate -1*-1= +1 It realy works that the two bugs compensate each other and you get a normal suspension characteristic with out permanent bottoming out of the damper.

In 2007 and 2008 models the Linkage Geometry was changed (debuged) and my 2007 TRF9 works plain awsome with the Manitou Evolver

you are wellcome!

But carefull this is all only valid for the 2006 Models!!
2007 and 2008 Models have a changed linkage geometry and are just perfect.

yes i know that, because i have torque 2006.... so only with RS pearl (07/08) will this frame work good, similair as 2007/2008 torque models? Please say yes :)

I never tried a torque 2006 but eberybody who exchanged the DHX against a Pearl stated that with that move he got a new bike!

I have also the Canyon Torque 3 and i mount the manitou 4-way Air SPV and its only great. ~35% sag and and no full compression of the suspension with a 2m drop.

I dont see a Pearl anymore on rockshox (sram) webpage....so is the monarch successor of pearl? Will this shock work good with torque 2006 frame, or maybe manitou answer 4way / Evolver ISX-6... i just want few more opinions, cos i dont want to make a mistake

It's true, the RS Pearl shock isn't being produced any more. But this mainly means, that you can buy some still available items cheaply. Pearl 3.1.
(I'd suggest to search at a few onlineshops, ebay and so on)

I don't know, whether any of Rock Shox' newer shocks are as progressive as the Pearl was. Howewer, I'm afraid, it's not likely that any of them is, as the extreme progressitivity of the Pearl was more a bug than a feature.

'cause it gives the bike a more martial and technical look, that's all (at least, I think so) ;)

That "feature" makes a part of the bike look like some High-End-Bomber like an Nicolai or else...
