Changing my spring on my Fox DHX Rc2 and managed to round the bolt!!

Hoping to get it out [work for an engineering co, so letting them try get it out!!]

Anyone know what size shock bolt i will need once it is freed??

Cheers Svensson - seems the 350 was just that little bit too light for me, so gone 400.

All sorted now, got a bolt from local hardware shop. Seems the bolts Canyon use are made of cheese..............;)

Not sure i should be running a standard bolt now, as the shock bushing will be up against the threaded part of the bolt, whereas the Canyon bolt is smooth apart from a thread right at the end.

Problem is Canyon want to charge me 16 Euros to ship this 1 bolt that weighs the same as a feather!!:heul:

Wonder is their shock bolt part A1017964 is the same as other shock bolts size wise?

[yes it looks a bit mangled, due to the problems of getting it out!]

Hi!
I'll be at the Canyon Home on Aptil 9th.
Maybe I can get you the bolt there and ship it.
I think it will be cheaper this way.
I'm gonna ask at Canyon if it is possible to get the bolt on that day.

Rock on... :i2:

I have just asked at Canyon, if it is possible to get the bolt on that day,
but they have their Granfondo on that day, and it is not possible to get any spare parts then.
Sorry, but I thought it was a good idea.

Rock on... :i2:

Never mind. Cheers for the offer though!:daumen:

Trying to see if Canyon can get the postage lower. Don't know why they have to use UPS for such small items.

Shame the UK service dept doesn't stock such items...................

I wouldnt mind, the bushings are strong enough to take that. Take a standard bolt, and give it a try for some serious rides, and then check again.
