I m planning a long-time trip to switzerland next couple of weeks,
may start from geneva
I prefer buying a bicycle myself other than paying rental everyday.

have you thought about taking your own bike with you. That is the way I do it on vacation. That's was always the cheapest way for me.

the price level in switzerland ist much higher than in most other european countrys. in my opinion it would be much cheaper for you to take your own bike to switzerland than buying a bike there!
