Hi there,
I am building my second FR/DH bike, and I am undecided between zee and code r brakes.
I have had zee; they are powerful and easy to maintain. No experience with the avid other than the nice touch of the levers of some older elixir (on a bike of a friend). However, the code r 2014 offer the pad contact adjustment, which shimano offers with the Saints, but not with the zee . I want to stay in the price range of zee/code r. There is also a claim that the pivot point of the avids is closer to the bars than in any other brand (which of course would be an asset). Is it true in comparison with the zee?
I am searching for opinions in terms of power, power modulation, reliability, maintenance, Ergonomics, durability ...
thanks
