nun meine frage:;

So DavidBelize are you the famed "kikaha" GT photographer? Well if so.... You take darn nice pictures. When are you coming to the US to shoot my collection???, I'd be happy to assist you in your fork need. First let me set a few things straight. There's an attitude that's not good..why are you throwing me under the bus? Who else is so willing to ship older GT products to Germany in the volume that I have/can?. I offer items and I get thrown under a microscope by you. I understand you are frustrated because it's always me and you think I'm getting rich off you but I'm not. I invite each and everyone of you to go read the personal profile I posted last week. You will find that I too am a GT "Junkie" just like the rest of you...as GT was a major part of my life for years and continues to be as a hobby....that's right hobby. I make a little here and there that I can put toward building my collection just like the rest of you. I don't really feel that I'm any different than the rest of you. The parts I offer, I don't stumble on to...they aren't dumped at my door step for free. I spend hours on-line searching just like many of you, emailing stores that were past GT dealers in the old days and buying bikes as they become available. I have an investment of both money and time in everything that I offer for sale. Should I be fairly compensated for that...of coarse. What is fair is in the eyes of both the seller and the buyer. On the sellers part...if he is watching the demand for the item and sees the demand increase and the supply small, his item is then worth a higher value...do we agree. The low pound and the low Euro have created a higher market price and we all know that's going to change. Maybe it won't change...who knows?

Regarding this thread title of Bologna Lite forks.....I acquired like 16 mostly NOS Bologna Lite forks. Those of you that are old enough to remember... know that GT offered Rock Shox as option forks on many mid to upper level GT's back in like 1993-95. Many dealers ordered the bikes with the optional Rock Shox fork and assembled the bikes and sold them with the Rock Shox.... but the dealers retained the original Bologna Lite forks that were originally on the bikes. So they tend to sit around and collect dust in stores for 14-16 years until someone like me calls up looking for some. They definitely weren't cheap or free. I spent hours on long distance phone calls calling old GT dealers asking if they had any/many sitting around. This is how I found them and I'd bet if some of you made calls you could find some this same way in Germany. I'm sure there are probably another 500 of them sitting around in basements and storage rooms of shops in the US. I don't have time to find anymore right now but have some. Am I going to sell them for $50 each. No I can't because I paid that much for at least half of them plus shipping costs to get them. So what's fair like I said is in the eyes of the person that wants it. But now you understand that I'm not trying to stab you when I ask $85 for a 14-16 year old NOS fork that vintage bike hobbyists want. Please remember the retail price on a Bologna Lite fork back in the mid 90's was $89...I've sold a few in the past couple months. Syborg just picked one up with the frame he got one ask him...he'll tell you they are amazing forks. At this time I only want to sell four of them...I have a big Zaskar build up project going on myself right now (six) and still need some to complete my own collection. Anybody have an old 3-D or 2x4 you want to swap for a Bologna lite?...I didn't think so....but if you do please pm me. If you need something GT and can't find it ask. I am willing to help. I have even third party shipped bikes for people on this forum and many on retrobike. I am part of the GT brotherhood or is that GT sickness. I don't care it's a good sickness. Building a GT collection one at a time. My wife is glad I'm not into Ferrari's:D

Peter.....It's funny that you should say that.... because while that may be a common BIN price.....three times the reserve price was met and the BIN price went away and the frame got bid past the original 999 BIN price. Three time by members of this very forum. Guess it should be higher then?;)

...Also remember what some members of this very forum have recently paid for used Lightnings.....E912 if I remember right back when the Euro was stronger but still that was like US$1532 back then...

@Kingmoe I guess I'd say that's a bargain or sale since one got bid as high as 1004 when it could have been bought for 999. Also remember what some members of this very forum have recently paid for used Lightnings.....E912 if I remember right back when the Euro was stronger but still that was like US$1532 back then. I was amazed!

Anyone should pay the price he can pay and which he wants to pay. No problem for me! I know: The buyer makes the price, not the seller. For me pesonal it´s too much.

But this forum is one of the reasons why GT parts are so expensive today. And I´m part of it. Fu.ck ;-))
