Kaufberatung Canyon RC9 RC8 RC7

Ich bin von Belgien ( West Vlaanderen am Nordsee) und ich spreche nicht gut Deutch. Ick wolte in September 2006 (model 2007) ein Canyon RC9 - RC8 (wonderscheun model) oder ein Specialized Epic Marathon kaufen. Aber in Belgien finde ich keine bike-tests von den Canyon RC9 oder RC8, oder bikers mit Canyon bikes. Ich fahre heute ein Decathlon und fiele freunden haben auch ein Decathlon gekauft ( Ich bin der Handy-man fur scheck-up unseres bikes). So wunse ich gans zicher zu zein solte ich ein Canyon kaufen.
Meine frage ist: kunnen sie mir helfen mit?
1/ Canyon tests RC9 RC8 RC7 model 06
2/ Ein vergleich mit den Epic
3/ Oder hast du eine RC9 - RC8 - RC7 und wolten sie dein befindingen mitteilen.

Hello,
Ich kante der Niederlandische Canyon version.
Aber was ich wolte sind sufrieden RC9 RC8 RC7 bikers. Und heuren von innen das ich einen RC must kaufen und kein Epic.
RC9 RC8 RC7 und XC9 XC8 XC7 fahres, bitte reagieren zich auch.
Sag mir wahrum ichren Canyon super ist.

Only one friendly biker contacted me. His new bike will be delivered this week, and he promised me a testexplication of his RC9.

So , if I may ask: All RC and XC bikers, let me know why I should choose a Canyon.

In my opinion you expect too much. Maybe you expect us to traslate all the post here in the Canyon forum for you too?

If you want some guidance, then at least tell us what you expect to do with the bike. Explain you every difference between all the RCs an XCs is a little bit too much.

...any owner of a RC series bike simply should talk about his/her experience with the bike in English...

Hallo,

haben zwischen Epic und RC8 uns ganz klar für das Canyon entschieden. Die Ausstattung ist zu einem viel geringeren Preis um längen besser. Das fertige Rad wiegt auch deutlich weniger!
Und das RC8( ist in der Praxis genial gut verarbeitet und macht ne Menge Spaß.

Nur die Lieferzeit betrug 6 in Worten sechs!!! Monate.

Hi Motorbiker,

I was looking first for a Specialized epic marathon. But after I have compared it with the xc9 (the level of components, the result of a bike test in BIKE 12/2005, as well the price) it was clear to me to choose the Canyon. It costs appr. EUR 1000-1500 less the epic, has better components and its beautifull (OK - the epic is a beautifull bike too).

I choose the XC oppose the RC because it has a wider range for usage (long tours, better downhill performance, a bit more comfortable). If you prefer light weigt (for crosscountry racing) - choose the RC.

Anyway - you will be happy with a Canyon - once you get it (be prepared to wait long after you have ordered a bike).

By the way - its an advandage if you are able to make small repairs by yourself - there are no canyon-dealers.

First of all, thank you guys for your fine response.
Here - near the Belgian coast - we have no mountains worth talking. So all the tracks are for 95% flat. Fahrrad clubs organise every week-end in one or another town a bike tour. Using all single-tracks, woods, off road they can find. Its a bit of a competition one club to another, to make their own event more special, technical, divers then the one the week before. This explains why I want an agile, fun to drive bike.
So If possible, discribe me how your RC or XC turn's, brake's, handles, feels, ...etc.
Unterlander: The Bike magazine is not known overhere. Could you scan me a copy of the test?
Burli: Kanst du ein bichen meer detailliert sein uber dein RC8. Federung, fahren - technik, ... .
Christian 74: excuse me if I am too demanding. But I depend on you guys if I want to know the heartbeat of I Canyon bike.

the rc-series is really made for racing. if u are not into racing you should choose the xc or other.
canyon is superior to specialized simply(or at first) for its cheap prices and excellent equipment. if u dont want to pay for the name take the canyon.
u can built up a race-ready canyon with 10,5kg for less than 3000€(->watch my gallery).

I can tell You a bit about my experiences with the RC7 (I´ve got it in January).
I cicle nearly every offroad terrain in the alps (Austria, Italy), no races but extended tours. I dediced for the RC7 because of the weight (compared with the XC´s) and the price/components (best experiences with the XT).
The bike is made for those who like to be fast uphill ... downhill is sometimes a little hard, when You reach the limit of 80mm travel!
