The only Minion version you need to worry about is the 40a (that is the "Slow Reezay" or "SR" compound) You also have to get the DH 2.5 size because it is double ply. Yes it is somewhat heavy. The single ply 40a is amazing for grip and lighter but the sidewalls are too thin and you will pinch flat all of the time. Any other Maxxis compound, even the 42a "Super Tacky" is not worth it. The 40a SR compound is the best tire out there at the moment, even better than the Michelin. The Try All Sticky tire might be a good. I am ordering one tomorrow to replace my worn out Minion so we will see...
