1) Put the bike on the bike stand. Please hold your bike on the seatpost and not on the frame.
2) Take the wheels off
3) Disassemble the shock
- put some protection on the frame so once you remove the trunnion bolts the shock doesn't hit the frame
- remove trunnion bolts
- be careful that the lower link bushing on the drive-side doesn't go out during disassembly of the titanium lower link shock axle (you need to control it with the hand on the right sight while removing the bolt on the left side at the same time)
4) Loose the bolt that tightens the cables to the front triangle under the shock
6) Compress the swingarm to bottom out position. Be careful to not compress too far and scratch the front triangle with the swingarm or scratch the swingarm with the rocker
7) Loose the plastic cable holder on the bottom of the left swingarm
8) Loose the plastic holder under the lower link
9) Adjust the length of the cable between the post mount and the cable inlet within the swingarm. You can pull slightly on the headtube end and push on the bottom bracket end.
10) Compress the swingarm to bottom out position. Be careful to not compress to far and scratch the front triangle with the swingarm or scratch the swingarm with the rocker
11) Tighten the plastic holder on the swingarm
12) Tighten the plastic holder under the lower link
13) Tighten the bolt+alloy holder that tights the cables to the front triangle under the shock
WITHOUT fully tightening them
14) Compress the swingarm to bottom out position. Be careful to not compress to far and scratch the front triangle with the swingarm or scratch the swingarm with the rocker
15)
Push the cables with fingers underneath the lower link inside the link so cables are placed in the right position in the middle
16)
Simulate swingarm movement to check if cables are pushed deep enough (cables are longest in the bottom out position)
17)
Fully tighten bolt+alloy holder that tights the cables to the front triangle under the shock
18)
Simulate swingarm movement to double check if cables are pushed deep enough (cables are longest in the bottom out position)
19) Assemble shock
- put some protection on the frame so once you remove the trunnion bolts the shock doesn't hit the frame
- be careful that the lower link bushing on the drive-side doesn't go out during assembly of the titanium lower link shock axle (you need to control it with the hand on the right sight while assembling the bolt on the left side at the same time)
- assemble trunnion bolts
20) Assemble wheels
You can also do the following things to make the whole process easier
- take off the cranks
- zipp tight the swingarm in the bottom out position after the shock is removed
- rotate the frame on the bike stand to vertical position to have the lower link on your eyes height
