Bike der Woche: Eigenbau-Hardtail mit Pinion-Antrieb von IBC-User steel_is_real

Ein selbstgebautes Stahl-Hardtail mit Pinion-Getriebe und komplett innenverlegten Zügen? Dieses Traumbike hat sich IBC-User steel_is_real auf dem Balkon zusammengelötet. Doch es steckt noch viel mehr Arbeit dahinter als man denkt!

Hmm ich fahr Slider seit zig Jahren in Kombination mit meiner Rohloff
Vernüftig angezogen verschiebt sich da nix
Und find es besser weil ich eben keine teile wie die Rolle hab.

dir ist aber schon klar das mit einer pinion ganz andere kräfte nach hinten übertragen werden und wirken als bei einer rohloff, oder?

Die Getriebe funktionieren nur in einem dafür gefertigten Rahmen, der den Voraussetzungen entspricht, dass das getriebe das auch mittelfristig überlebt. Ein Getriebe an Endkunden zu verkaufen und damit auch die Verpflichtung eines Supports einzugehen, wenn nicht gewährleistet ist, dass die grundlegenden Notwendigkeiten beachtet werden, das ist für ein Unternehmen ebenfalls ein problematischer Schritt.

Es gibt hier im Forum einige Personen, die das erste Rad solch einer Art besitzen, ich zähle mich dazu und ich hatte ähnliche Probleme an ein Getriebe zu kommen. Wenn man es wirklich möchte findet man Wege. Ich empfinde die Handhabung von Pinion allerdings absolut nachvollziehbar, insbesondere wenn man mehr der Räder verkauft hat und weiß, welcher Support nötig ist um einwandfreie Funktion zu gewährleisten.

Try to reach out to framebuilders and ask if they could order a gearbox for you.

Die Muffen selber zu gießen ist gar nicht so schwer ... wenn man die richtigen Leute kennt und selber Gießerei-Ingenieur ist

@fluider A pity, as a customer it will be a hard way to find somebody to sell a gearbox to you, and have the ability to get support in case of malfunction or problems.

Try to reach out to framebuilders and ask if they could order a gearbox for you.

I think it's a pity for PINION, it could become much more used and widespread if they were open with the dump mounting interface data. Gearbox itself can be bought from some online shops, but online shop isnt going to send me reliable interface data. Rohloff has many advantages over PINION, while PINION has the likeable look of modern component, nicely packed and designed. For that high price they should be more supportive.

I am not sure, if you have read, what I explained? It seems you have no experience with customers and warranty. That's a big issue, and it is completely understandable, for someone who has or had to deal with it, why they choose this way.
The amount of homebuilt bikes is very small.
Instead of complaining, put your effort into networking and get to know people that have built frames before and could provide you with information.

So kann man Argumentieren und handeln wenn man im Automotive Bereich unterwegs ist (ich weiß) aber ich glaube nicht das sich das beim Rad auch durchsetzten wird. Wobei man abwarten muß, diese e Fahrrad Geschichte verschiebt das Verhältnis hier z.Z. Auch deutlich. Und wenn man sich so ein Teil doch besorgt hat über drei Ecken will ich nicht wissen was das für ein gerrnne wird wenn man dann mal ein Ersatzteil braucht

No. I'm not asking them to sell me one unit because I can buy that unit from online shop and consequently solve potential issues with online shop. I've no problem with that.
What I'd like them to do is freely provide one damn 2D drawing of a mounting interface. One set of 2D points that make the mounting profile. SRAM sent me 3D CAD model of LYRIK 2009 fork.

Es gibt fantastisch funktionierende E-Räder mit Pinion, die auch noch einen deutlich geringeren Verschleiß haben, als die ganzen Mittelmotorräder, die reihenweise Ketten verschleißen. Die Heckmotoren sind nur für den MTB Bereich bisher weniger interessant, da das Wärmemanagement noch nicht ausreichend ausgeklügelt ist.

Ersatzteile für ein Pinion gibt es nicht viele, wenn etwas ist, dann ist es am Getriebe, und dann wird es zu Pinion geschickt. Ausfallquoten sind enorm gering.

Deine Analyse kann ich nicht teilen, das stimmt so nicht. Technisch ist das Getriebe und die Elektromotorlösung besser, aber der Mittelmotor wird stärker nachgefragt, meist ohne Sinn und Verstand.

Buy it online, if you need it anyway and measure the points? Seems like you're not a problem solver, but a problem searcher, or finder? As i said before, complaining is one possibility, acting and changing another one.
