Wirklich coole Räder hier. Hab selber ein Scott Evolution mit Stahlrahmen, Deore XT, Araya RM 17, geringer Kilometerleistung. Aufgrund von Nichtbenutzung sollte das Rad neu aufgebaut werden. Hier mal ein Foto.

Nice to have a couple of hours of spare time during Christmas to finish off an old project that has been neglected for a while.

Guess it will get a new stem, handlebar and rear brake some day, but for now it’s quite ok I think.

Yup, IRD RQR (Remote Quick Release). First remote dropper post solution, worked together with a Hite Rite.

How is it working? Is it functional? I also have one of these waiting in my closet since years...I guess it depends on how nice the seatpost is moving in the frames seat tube, i.e. how well their combination works.

Not sure yet, I have to have a look at it again. I have to set some tension to it so it can be spring laden.

It is really wide though, much wider than my Ringlé holey that didn’t fit this frame.

Should be smart to lube the seat post and make sure the seat post is the right diameter - this is a 27.0 frame but a 27.2 fits as well. The latter doesn’t work at all with the RQR.

Yes, the post must slip like butter in the seattube...its perfect when the post comes out alone driven by the compressed air inside the seattube (if your bb is closed). I had this only happening two times...and I think it is needed for a proper function of this device.
Another question that came up while playing with my remote qr: when adjusted properly for a tight fit of the seatpost when closed, will the remote qr be wide enough open for a good slip of the post in the "open" position? The difference between working and non-working was very small there if I remember right....
