Vorbau-in-Wagenfarbe-lackieren ist ja gerade schwer "in" hier
Vernickeln kann ich mir bei dem Farbton sehr gut vorstellen, dann würde ich die Sattelstütze aber gleich mitgeben.

das weiß ich nicht genau, ich bin jetzt von der Stahlvariante ausgegangen.
Sollte die Alukurbel aber auch die langen JIS Vierkante benötigen, wirst du dich aber ebenfalls in diesen Regionen bewegen.

Ich fahre meine CQPs alle mit 122 iger Achse, am ECS. Die Kurbel auf dem Bild ist wieder bei Alex
Mal was anderes, heute sind die Skulls von Chris eingetroffen .... (danke nochmal) und ich verpacke morgen den ganzen Kram für den Lackierer meines Vertrauens.
Deshalb eine Frage zur Gabelkrone: Ich welche Richtung schauen die Skulls, zum Fahrer oder in Fahrtrichtung oder ********gal wohin?

Hi Moritz,
anbei mal eine Kopie der Fat City Cycles Decal-Instructions ausgegraben, welche ich vor ein paar Monaten von "YoKris" bekommen habe:
"First off, prepare yourself. Put on some lint free clothing and use tight fitting latex gloves on your hands to protect the base surface from oil contamination. Clean the frame well with Acetone or MEK, both quick evaporating solvents to insure that the surface is free from all contaminants.
Next up, these decals are over 12 years old and are extremely fragile so proceed with confidence and caution.
The decal will have three parts, a back layer that is made of firmer card stock, a transfer sheet on top of thinner clear material, and the actual decal sandwiched in between.
Remove the back layer (which may have already fallen free) to expose the rear of the decal and transfer sheet. This will not feel too tacky, but you must keep it clean. Gripping the decal from the lateral edges on both ends, gently place the decal on the frame and run your gloved finger across the middle laterally to set the centre of the decal in place (the top and bottom edges will not be touching the round tube). Begin from the centre of the decal and smooth down to the tube moving in one direction at a time. I use both thumbs and smooth the top of the decal to the tube then the bottom. Once the decal is flush on the tubing, use a blunt smooth object (I like to use a round derlin rod) and "debase" the decal by slowly rubbing it uniformly over the entire surface area. Be very careful here, as if you pull the transfer sheet the decal will wrest free and leave nothing but fragmentation in its wake. Continue to debase for about 90 seconds until you have uniform coverage.
Beginning at one lateral edge, pull the transfer sheet 180 degrees back over it's self SLOWLY. DO NOT PULL STRAIGHT UP.
Take care to watch all edges of the decal as you remove the transfer sheet to insure they are coming free. If they begin to lift or tear, you have not debased that area sufficiently, lay the sheet back down and rub some more.
Continue to repeat until you have a rebadged masterpiece

Mich würde brennend interessieren, ob/wie Du die sehr empfindlichen Decals am Ende auf die Gabel bekommen wirst/hast. Ich habe hier auch noch Originale Skulls für meine Gabel liegen, hab' mich nur bislang nicht getraut Sie aufzukleben, da die Teilchen EXTREM zerbrechlich wirken. Hat da vielleicht noch jemand einen Tip, wie der "Dekorvorgang" am besten funktioniert?!

Sie wirken nicht nur zerbrechlich, sie sind es auch
Eine Sauarbeit verkrampfte Finger und Unterarme Ole.
Wie beschrieben, mit alkohol o.ä. alles auber machen.
Rahmenteil und Aufkleber mit Haarfön ordendlich warm machen.
Schutzfolie abziehen (wenn nicht schon abgefallen)
Decal platzieren
Mit Finger/Fingernagel andrücken, anrubbeln.
Ggf mit Fön nochmal erwärmen.
Trägerfolie umschlagen und ganz langsam und vorsichtig abziehen.

! Ich habe jedoch echt' Angst Originale Fat City Decals in unbrauchbaren Restmüll zu verwandeln

nur damit nicht der Eindruck entsteht, hier würde nix passieren. Der Rahmen ist seit langem beim Lackierer meiner Wahl, allerdings stellte sich der Abgleich der Farbtöne, aber auch der Metallic-Effekte (ich nenn das mal laienhaft so) und des Verlaufs wie erwartet als nicht so einfach heraus. Wirkliche Referenzen auf die Farben gab es ja keine.
Da mir ohnehin das Ergebnis wichtiger als die Zeit ist, lass ich den guten Mann einfach mal machen und so erreichte mich heute zumindest das erste Bild der Kurbeln (MRC Steely Danz). Der Rest soll auch bald nachkommen....
