:rolleyes:

vielen dank!

Hi Misternosguy,

like most shops they seem to sell the Kinesium-frame only in aluminum brushed. Only the heavier versions Kinesis superlight and Kinesis come with black or blue and black, blue or red powder coat.
The reason is probably to save weight.
If I were you and wanted to buy a Kinesium with powder coat I would write an e-mail to them and ask if they could do the paintwork for you. That'll be a couple more Euros, but it should be possible.
And if they don't do it - try here . These guys should be able to help you. :)

Good luck

Geisterfahrer

edit: Just saw you can order the frames in almost any color. Just click "Bausätze" -> "Eingang" -> "Wunschfarbe". It's 25 €.
This service should also be available when you buy a frame and not a complete bike.

The powdercoating will bring an extra 150-200g or you have to anodise the frame with the disadvantage of a limited range of colours. In both cases you need to remove the existing clearcoat and also some extra treatment of the frame may be required. I think it would be easier to buy the Kinesium-Frame as it is and to find a varnisher near to you, talking to him about the details (and especially the costs). But as Geisterfahrer added, you should ask at Bike-Market if the Kinesium-Frame is available in another colour.

Greetings
Benjamin

Ok I will order the frame with alu colour and if I really dont like it I can always change it somewhere in Holland. Im going to use this frame with a skareb elite, x223/deore, hfx 9, ritchey pro parts and lx-gearing. I hope I can keep it under 11 kg with this frame...

Yes, it`s much more expansive doing it at your local vanisher than 25€. So, as already said, you should ask if it`s possible regarding the Kinesium frame. But if never seen the posibilty to be able to chose the colour of the Kinesium frame, so i think that the Bike-Market offer refers to the standard Kinesis frames.

@sulibats
I think the RAL-Colors are for all bikes, why do you think they're only for Kinesis frames?

@Misternosguy
The fastest way to find out which colors are possible ist to ask the shop.

I just got an e-mail and they told me I can choose if i want the CHAKRA-logo on it. They did not awnser the question about the colour so I have sent another one.

Ive been playing a bit with photoshop and this is what the bike should look like when its done:

Silver and Black looks quite good. My Kinesium-Frame ist also equipped with some black, grey, silver Parts ;)
Here you find some pics of my bike based on the year 2003 Kinesium frame (also only available in silver with clearcoat as far as i know).

Good selection i would say, good price/performance relation. I think you`ve chosen the LX Gold Serious due to colour?! Some parts are perfect in LX, but in my opinion the new 2004 XT crank is much better but costs not much more. But that`s no choice if you want some gold coloured parts. The 2005 LX will also be an integrated crank which mainly increases stiffness but not weight.

Tires (inside), you mean tubes? I personally prefer latex tubes (Michelin C4 Latex), which is good at weight (~120-130g) and saftey against punctures, but it loses air daily (which is quite normal for latex tubes), so every third day you have to pump up the tube a bit.

Headset: You have to look for a semi-integrated headset. Unfortunately there are only a few available. I have one from CaneCreek (ZS-2), which wasn`t very expansive (~25€), but i`ve read about problems with the sealing of the bearings. But for me it works for more than 1 year without problems. More expansive would be some headset from Acros Al-22 for example (www.acros.de), resulting in a higher quality.

Additional headset, tubes und things which are not listed that increase your weight (without nothing why :lol: ) will bring weight to some 10,5kg to 11kg.

Where can I get semi-integrated headsets? I've looked on several sites but i cant find any. If i could find one at bycicles.de, it would be really nice...

Wich kinesium is this one? Chakra, pro bike or something completely differend?

Many so called Kinesium frames are all the sames besides some stickers. Usually the stickers like "Pro-Bike" are not under clearcoat so they are easy to add due to marketing issues but also easy to remove. The charkra frame looks exactly like my 2003 kinesium frame, but the picture may no be correct. The year 2004 modell has some extra gusset between the lower tube and the steering tube like this one at Ebay. You will also find some more Kinesium frames at Ebay. Sometimes Kinesium is also named besides Scandium, but that`s just to stress that Kinesium is an aluminium alloy comparable to Scandium, so don`t worry and maybe you will find a good offer.

You asked for a headset: This Tioga No Stack should fit to the frame but i'am sure that every dealer that offers kinesium frames is able to deliver a compatible headset for a good price (~25€).

Thanks for your help guys! I will have to wait a month because im going to spent a little more on it then expected. I probably go for this one:
