Re: Nope N75 hubs & Note atmosphere rims opinion
Hi Jean-Philippe,

I can recommend this wheelset from actionsports - these guys know how to build up strong wheels for many years. At the beginning of this season I Build up a new light-enduro/all-mountain bike. Basis was a Giant Reign frame with 150mm and for the front I choosed the Fox Float RL with 140. Formula Oro, Truvitiv Team parts, Sram x9 and Shimano XT as well as a Hone crankset needed a nice wheelset as tough as the rest. So I bought the Alex Rims, Hope C2 Pro and Sapim setup from actionsports with 2.4 tyres from Schwalbe. I loved this combination, but after a short time I thought, that it was a bit to much and switched over to the Nope Atmosphere set and that was the best decesion I could make. These wheels are even faster than the others and although they are much lighter (about 300g), they feel much stiffer than the Hope/Alex combination. The finish of the Nope Athmosphere is very nice, too. The only thing some people would critisize is that their sound is not like one of these high-end hubs such as Hope, Chris King or some DT Swiss products.

My conclusion: This wheelset is really worth its price, you won´t get something lighter and stiffer for this price! It´s a great deal - grab it!

Hi Wolf,

Thank you for yours advices. It seems to be an interesting wheels set.

How long time are using theses wheels set ?
Did you ride with its during the winter (rain , mud ..) ?
How is the waterproof of the hubs ?
How many time have you to clean the hubs ?

How many pawls are used in the rear hub ?
How many bearing are used in the rear and front hubs ?
Do you have a scheme of the hubs and of the rim ?

Thank you.

Hi Jean-Philppe,

I use this wheelset only for a few month, so I cannot serve real long-term experience. But this wheelset is new in this season, so nobody had the chance to test a a year or something.

They use 7075 alloy which is T6 treated for the hub. A 3 pawl-system and 6/4 titanium tooth wheel as well as sealed quad industrial baerings is included.

Sorry, but I cannot find a scheme of the hub, because I cannot find a specific website of this company (I think its a brand of actionsports itself).

Best wishes!

They are doing fine. Especially as they do use Sapim spokes. Search for a thread here, there is a very long discussion ;)

For me, they worked well on 2 marathons and one alp crossing. No experiences with lots of rain (I did not miss it after 7 days rain last alp crossing).

Hi
Yhank you for the link but it's very difficult for me to untersand german.
I have undestood the weight of the Atmosphere rim is 380-400g. Is it right ?
Do you the weight of the front and rear hubs ?
Are the rim compatible with the notubes kit ?

Today I'm using FRM hubs with ZTR 355 rims ans DT revolution spokes.
The DT revolution are perhaps not enought rigid and I'm disappointed by the poor waterproof of the freewheel...

So I'm looking for a lightweight wheels without this kind of problems.
