@strulli-:
I think msxtr wants us to post other light brands which look pretty identical.

@msxtr: Unfortunately I must agree with the others:
Most LEDs are round. Their reflectors are round. In other words:
Unless you design your encasing without "form follows function" almost
any light will look the same:
Completely round for those with a reflector, quad lenses and oval for those
with multiple round LEDs beside each other.

Other things such as mounting your accupack or a handlebar holder might
be copied though.

Hi José,

I think it´s hard to apply a patent on a certain design.
You might be able to patent some certain kind of mounting (similar to Lupine)
or a special accu mount (similar to Hopes solution integrated into the stem)
but to patent a round tube with some heat sink structure should be impossible.

Form follows function. That´s what they say, isn´t it ?

Regards,
Holger

I think, all that different designs are from the technical prospective so called "state of the art", especially if details are published. Therefor you can´t get it patented.

If everyone is interested in doing an research on german patents, please follow that link:

Whithin other countries, the patent rules are quit different. Sorry, I´m not an expert, but I have made some experience regarding the activities in my job.
