We'll a final update for anyone who is interested.....
The frame has lasted a full year happily, but I have now retired it from use.
It's done ~650miles of hard abuse, with about 60k ft of climbing.

The bad bits....
The latteral flex at the bottom bracket meant it eats cranks.
In 1year I got through 4 cranksets on this beast!
Mainly twisting, and spline damage due to the flex amplifying the force angles I think.
Drive side crank clearance was just a bit too tight, and in the end the tip of the crank arm etched a small notch into the chainstay .

The good bits....
It's given me a large number of Strava PB's, and a fastest ever top speed of 50mph.
Climbing it was awesome, power transmission was super.
The smile on my face as I rode past people n hear them say "the guys riding a bamboo bike!" Knowing it was all my hard work

The suppleness that bamboo adds to the ride cannot be underestimated!
After riding my Octane One prone again, it feels so harsh! So much more trail feedback through the bars n feet!

The final ride was a 3day mission on the UK south downs way (100miles and 12ft climbing).

Will I try again.... Maybe some day.
Did I have a blast with her.... Hell yeah!
Cheers all :bier:
