Hello Forum Members,
I always wanted to improve Mavic rim decals with a real chromium background. We found a way to do it, and this is what it may look like. This is the BETA version of the decals. I believe the final version will be available sometime in 2025. I`m sharing two complete sets as an example.

Hello friends,
as promised above, I`ve completed the final version of the Mavic decals for the rims. Let me share with you pictures of the decals and complete sets.
I can print the decals for the Mavic X517, 217 and D521 rims, as well as the complete sets that include SUP and CERAMIC decals, too.
A complete set of Mavic rim decals will cost you 25EUR. A set means: 2 x Mavic, 2 x SUP and 2 x CERAMIC.
Shipping depends on your delivery country, but as you may know, it is 7EUR in the EU, tracking included.
If you want to get these decals, no problem, I can sell them Note that these are for the 32H rim version. Sure, I can make a 36H rim version, too.

a new cycling season is coming soon, and I`ll have less and less time to make the decals for you (primarily because of my bike shop activities). I promise I will continue making decals for you; however, there might be a case where the waiting time will be longer than usual.
I`d like to offer you a last-minute action - if you order any decals from my portfolio, without changes in design and/or size, I`ll give you a better price. A set of frame decals may cost you about 30EUR, and a set of component decals may cost you from 5EUR to 15EUR (depending on the set).

I`ll start printing all decals by the last week of March, i.e. the deadline for the last order is 21st/22nd March 2025.

Uff, I don`t know 
Anyhow, the foil is very thin, and without clear lamino layer even thinner. Are you looking for a transparent (clear) foil without any graphics, or the decals you want to replace?

Ich glaube für mich sind die Transfer-Folien die Richtigen....
@MadBiker wie schleife ich am Besten den Klarlack runter? Nass mit Schleifpapier oder? Und oder den ganzen Rahmen oder nur dort wo die Decals liegen ?

@Ande-Osei let me help you here (before my reaction - sorry for English, but it is more convenient for me to answer you in English).
Whatever you plan with your frame, I prefer to make it all-in-one. In other words, brush the whole frame, not only the places where you want to place the decals. Old clear lack and new lack will not work together.
Sandpaper and soap water is a good start. I prefer to start with sandpaper 500/800, then move to 1000/1200. It all depends on whether you want to remove only old clear lack or complete paintwork. You didn`t say that. If you remove just the clear lack, start with 1000 and then move to 1500/2000. Do it for a complete frame. Once done, apply new decals and a new clear coat.

Ich bin ja schon gerne mal uneinsichtig wenn ich mich in meiner Freiheit eingeschränkt fühle und wurde heute auf dem Weg nach Hause auch vom Ordnungsamt aufgehalten.
Es hätte allerdings eine 4-stellige Strafe gedroht. Das war mir dann doch etwas zu viel und bin ganz brav die große 'Schleife' gefahren.
Bei mir in der Südstadt war dann alles ruhig und ich wurde nicht evakuiert.

I already know that holidays break in the printing company, as well as mine, therefore I see it as very realistic to have the next print by the end of August. Please bear in mind that longer waiting time.
