Then suddenly…it was over.
Fat City Cycles very quickly folded and Chris Chance pretty much vanished. Gone. Out of the cycling world that he helped make fun.
Years of popping into cycling and Fat City message boards yielded no sign of him. Just a lot of German and Japanese guys hoarding all the Fat Chance bikes that remained in the world and bragging about it. Surprise, surprise.

Heute erinnert leider kaum noch etwas an diese frühe Fertigungsstätte von Fat City Cycles, um 1993 folgte dann der Umzug zur wenige Kilometer entfernten "18 Linden St. Somerville, MA 02143":
Stimmt, die Fotos beweisen, dass "ergonomische Arbeitsplatzgestaltung" nicht zwangsläufig die Kreativität der Mitarbeiter fördert ! Passend zum Thema binde ich an dieser Stelle einfach noch einmal das Video der "Fat City Cycles Factory Tour" aus 1994 ein, welches am "neuen" Standort "18 Linden St., Somerville, MA 02143" gedreht wurde:Ist doch geil!
