Camera Freezes

A number of users have experienced some camera freezes I have a best practices directly from GoPro customer support on attempting to eliminate problems as best as possible. Heres what they have to say:
Our experience shows that freeze up issues are typically due to a problem during the firmware update process, like a glitch or incomplete update that arent usually obvious. Pushing a manual firmware update over the phone will get a camera going almost every time (

After an update we have customers test the cameras for further issues and rarely hear back, so weve got to figure its working. We personally think problems may stem from starting with an irregular format of of the SD card, so were always sure to format the SD card in camera as a first step, then moving the FW files over and completing the update.
More on the topic of freezes *Ive just been informed that SanDisk is not the optimal card to use in-fact it may be causing most of the freezing problems we are seeing. Try Transcends Class 10 UHS-1 as noted by a comment below.*

GoPro customer support; they will help without hesitation. Also, the engineering FW team is constantly going 200% getting things patched up for future, more stable releases so stay tuned.
